Ingredients

  • garlic clove 5 cloves
  • Italian seasoning 2 teaspoons
  • canned lentils 1 can
  • tomato paste 2 tablespoons
  • canned tomatoes 2 cans
  • balsamic vinegar 0.5 teaspoons
  • sugar 0.5 teaspoons
  • pasta 300 grams
  • water 1200 milliliters
  • yellow cheese 170 grams

Tools

  • large pan
  • spoon

Instructions

  1. Saute the garlic in a large pan until fragrant.
  2. Add the mixed Italian herbs and lentils, then stir together briefly.
  3. Add the tomatoes, tomato paste, balsamic vinegar, and sugar to make the sauce.
  4. Add the dried pasta and pour in the water.
  5. Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring regularly, until the pasta is al dente.
  6. If the sauce thickens before the pasta is cooked, add a little more water. If the pasta is cooked but the sauce is too thin, keep cooking uncovered for a few more minutes until some liquid evaporates, or stir in a little more tomato paste.
  7. When the pasta is cooked, add the cheddar cheese and stir until melted. Serve hot.
