Ingredients

  • salmon fillet 2 pieces
  • extra virgin olive oil 2 tablespoons
  • turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
  • ground cumin 1 teaspoon
  • garlic powder 1 teaspoon
  • salt 1 to taste
  • black pepper 1 to taste
  • plain Greek yogurt 0.67 cups
  • garlic powder 1 teaspoon
  • parsley 0.5 cups
  • lemon 1 piece
  • fresh dill 2 tablespoons
  • salt 1 to taste
  • black pepper 1 to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix olive oil, turmeric powder, garlic powder, and cumin together in a small bowl.
  2. Brush all of the oil-turmeric mixture over salmon fillets, coating well. Season with salt and pepper and set aside.
  3. Heat a pan over high heat. Splash a drop of water on it to test; if it sizzles, the pan is hot enough. Place the salmon fillets skin side down onto the hot pan.
  4. Cook for 3–5 minutes (depending on thickness), using a spatula to press the salmon down.
  5. Once the sides of the salmon have turned more opaque, flip the fish so the skinless side touches the pan. Turn off the heat, and let the fish cook for another minute or two until the outside is cooked and the inside is soft and tender.
  6. Transfer the cooked salmon to a plate, leaving the crispy skin on. Serve with a side of cooked grains and veggies. Drizzle with herby yogurt sauce.
  7. Place all sauce ingredients into the food processor.
  8. Pulse until well combined. Set aside until ready to serve.
