Ingredients

  • pizza sauce 0.3333333333 cups
  • hard cheese 2 tablespoons
  • crescent dough 1 can
  • mozzarella 0.6666666667 cups
  • Italian seasoning 1.5 teaspoons
  • extra virgin olive oil 2 teaspoons

Tools

  • oven
  • baking pan
  • foil
  • bowl
  • knife

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking pan with foil and set aside.
  2. Mix the pizza sauce and Parmesan cheese in a bowl.
  3. Unroll the crescent dough onto a clean work surface, pinch the perforations together to seal, and gently stretch it into a rectangle. Spread the pizza sauce mixture over the dough, top evenly with mozzarella, and sprinkle with part of the Italian seasoning.
  4. Starting from the long side, roll the dough into a log to enclose the filling and pinch the seam to seal. Cut into thick slices with a knife and place them cut-side down on the prepared baking pan.
  5. Mix the olive oil with the remaining Italian seasoning and brush the tops and sides of the pinwheels with the mixture.
  6. Bake until golden brown and bubbly. Serve with additional pizza sauce for dipping.
