Fit Apple Dessert with Cinnamon, Yogurt, and Chia

This is a healthy and quick dessert inspired by the classic mug apple pie, in a light and sugar-free version. It consists of stewed apples with cinnamon, a delicate yogurt cream with chia seeds, and crunchy almonds on top. Perfect for those who care about their diet and enjoy homemade sweets.

Ingredients

  • 2 piece apple
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon-powder
  • 200 gram greek-yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon chia-seeds
  • 5 piece almond

Instructions

  1. Peel the apples, remove the cores, and cut them into small cubes.
  2. Place the apples in a heated pan and stew over low heat for a few minutes until they soften (optionally add 1 tablespoon of water).
  3. Add cinnamon to the apples, stir, and sauté a bit longer until the flavors combine.
  4. Transfer the apples to a bowl and let them cool for a moment.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix Greek yogurt with honey and chia seeds.
  6. Layer half of the stewed apples at the bottom of a serving dish, then half of the yogurt with chia, followed by the remaining apples and the rest of the yogurt.
  7. Sprinkle the top with sliced almonds.

Tastes best warm, right after preparation.

Storage suggestions

If you need to store it, refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Sprinkle almonds just before serving.
